If you leave a comment (where this facility exists), the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data

Comments submitted through the “Get in Touch” or “Contact Us” buttons and pages are sent to a Gmail account for the purpose of being forwarded to the appropriate person within the CLP. This Gmail account is only accessed by authorised officers of the CLP and emails will be deleted once forwarded to the appropriate person (candidate, councillor, or CLP officer). Please note: any abusive or threatening comments sent through a contact form or otherwise left on our website will not be replied to and details will be passed to the police where appropriate.
