Helena Dollimore launches her General Election campaign

After the Conservatives finally called the General Election for Thursday 4th July, Helena Dollimore has launched her campaign to become the Labour and Co-operative Member of Parliament for Hastings and Rye.

Labour has made clear its commitment to restoring decency, competence and a belief in public service following 14 years of chaos under the Tories. And at the heart of Helena’s promise to local people is a promise to focus on the issues that matter to them, including taking on Southern Water, making our streets safer and building an NHS fit for the future.

Helena said, “I was born and raised locally, which is why I am so passionate about wanting the best for Hastings and Rye. So I am delighted that the election campaign is finally underway; I am excited to get out there and meet even more local people to talk about how Labour will bring the positive change we all need after all these years of the Conservatives putting party before country.”

“But even though we are crying out for change I am not complacent at all about securing the trust and support of the people of Hastings and Rye. We already have an incredible team of volunteers, but if anyone else is ready to be part of delivering the change we need, then I would urge them to please join the campaign. We know how hard we have to work to win every vote.”
